Unlike traditional robotic mowers that rely on buried boundary wires, the STIGA A 8 operates using virtual boundaries created within the STIGA.GO App. Installation takes just minutes, simply position the charging station, map your lawn and let the mower get to work. The mower can efficiently manage up to four separate mowing zones, making it ideal for gardens with divided lawn areas, paths or different sections that require independent mowing schedules.
The patented STIGA AGS (Active Guidance System) continuously predicts GPS signal quality throughout the day, allowing the mower to plan the most efficient mowing schedule while maintaining highly accurate positioning. Combined with GPS-RTK technology, this ensures systematic mowing patterns rather than random movement, reducing mowing time, improving efficiency and creating attractive striped lawn patterns.
Powered by a 25.2V 2.5Ah lithium-ion battery, the A 8 provides up to 60 minutes of mowing per charge before automatically returning to its charging station using the shortest available route. Once recharged in approximately 60 minutes, it resumes mowing exactly where it left off, ensuring complete coverage of the lawn without unnecessary overlap.
The 18cm cutting system uses four pivoting razor blades to deliver a consistently clean finish while protecting the blades from damage if they contact small obstacles. Electronic cutting height adjustment allows you to select cutting heights between 20mm and 60mm directly through the app, enabling you to tailor the finish to suit seasonal conditions. Daily mulching returns finely cut grass clippings back into the lawn, naturally feeding the grass, improving moisture retention and encouraging a greener, healthier lawn without the need to collect clippings.
The STIGA A 8 is capable of handling slopes of up to 45% (24°), making it suitable for a wide variety of garden layouts. Virtual exclusion zones can also be created within the app to temporarily or permanently prevent the mower from entering flower beds, newly seeded areas, wildlife habitats or other locations you wish to protect, without needing to physically alter the garden.
Smart connectivity is built in as standard through the STIGA.GO App. Using the app, you can monitor mower activity, adjust mowing schedules, modify virtual boundaries, manage cutting zones and receive notifications wherever you are. The A 8 includes two years of connectivity, with an additional third year available when the mower is registered within 30 days of purchase. Bluetooth connectivity, rain sensors, lift and tilt sensors all contribute to safe and intelligent operation.
