Unlike conventional robotic mowers, the STIGA A 50v uses virtual boundaries created within the award-winning STIGA.GO App. Installation simply involves positioning the charging station, mapping your lawn digitally and allowing the mower to begin work. If your garden layout changes in the future, mowing areas can be updated instantly through the app without digging up or relocating cables. The mower can independently manage up to 30 mowing zones and supports up to 150 virtual exclusion areas, making it ideal for complex gardens with flower beds, ponds, vegetable patches and landscaped features.
At the heart of the A 50v is STIGA’s patented Active Guidance System (AGS), working alongside quad-band GPS-RTK positioning. This intelligent technology continuously predicts satellite availability throughout the day, enabling the mower to plan the most efficient mowing schedule while maintaining centimetre-level positioning accuracy. Rather than mowing randomly, the A 50v follows organised cutting patterns that create attractive striped, angled or grid-style finishes while minimising unnecessary overlap and maximising battery efficiency.
The mower also features STIGA VISTA technology, an advanced AI-integrated camera system that allows it to recognise grass, borders and obstacles in real time. The intelligent vision system distinguishes between lawn and non-lawn surfaces, avoiding garden furniture, toys, pets and other obstacles while continuing to mow efficiently. A High Dynamic Range image sensor delivers excellent visibility in changing light conditions, while the integrated front LED automatically activates when required to maintain accurate navigation during lower light.
Power is supplied by a high-capacity 25.2V 10Ah STIGA ePower lithium-ion battery, providing up to 210 minutes of continuous mowing on a single charge. Once the battery is depleted, the mower automatically returns to its charging station via the shortest available route before recharging in approximately 150 minutes. It then resumes mowing precisely where it stopped, ensuring complete coverage without unnecessary repeat cutting.
The 26cm cutting system features six pivoting high-carbon steel razor blades operating at up to 2,400rpm for an exceptionally clean and consistent cut. Electronic cutting height adjustment allows heights between 20mm and 65mm to be selected directly through the STIGA.GO App, while Smart Cutting Height Adjustment automatically optimises the cutting height to suit lawn conditions and mowing schedules. Daily mulching finely returns clippings to the lawn, naturally improving soil health, moisture retention and grass quality without the need to collect clippings.
Built for demanding gardens, the STIGA A 50v comfortably handles slopes of up to 50% (27°). A comprehensive safety package includes dual bump sensors, lift sensors, tilt sensors, rollover protection, six-axis motion sensing and intelligent obstacle detection, allowing the mower to operate safely around people, pets and garden features. If lifted or overturned, the cutting blades stop immediately for added safety.
The STIGA.GO App provides complete control from anywhere. Using Bluetooth and integrated cloud connectivity, you can create mowing schedules, define virtual boundaries, manage multiple mowing zones, adjust cutting heights, monitor battery status and receive real-time notifications. The mower includes 10 years of connectivity as standard, along with three years of warranty, providing excellent long-term value and convenience. Additional security features such as App Lock, GPS tracking and theft alerts offer extra peace of mind.
