The STIGA A 5000 Robotic Mower is engineered for homeowners, estates and commercial properties that require effortless maintenance of large and complex lawns. Suitable for areas of up to 7,000m², this premium autonomous mower combines intelligent satellite navigation, systematic mowing patterns and fully virtual installation to deliver a consistently immaculate lawn with minimal user input. Unlike conventional robotic mowers, the A 5000 requires no boundary wire, making installation faster and allowing lawn layouts to be modified at any time through the STIGA.GO App.
At the heart of the A 5000 is STIGA’s patented Active Guidance System (AGS) working alongside GPS-RTK positioning. The system continuously monitors satellite availability and predicts signal quality throughout the day, allowing the mower to intelligently schedule mowing sessions when positioning accuracy is at its highest. This enables the mower to follow organised, systematic cutting patterns that reduce overlap, maximise efficiency and create an attractive, evenly maintained finish across the entire lawn.
Installation is completely cable-free using virtual boundaries created in the STIGA.GO App. There is no need to bury perimeter wires, making setup significantly quicker than traditional robotic mowers. The latest antenna-free installation option allows the charging station to be positioned almost anywhere without requiring additional poles or external hardware. If your garden changes over time, mowing zones and virtual boundaries can be updated instantly through the app.
Designed for large and complex gardens, the STIGA A 5000 can independently manage up to 10 mowing zones, with the ability to expand via software updates. It also supports up to 50 virtual exclusion zones, allowing flower beds, ponds, vegetable patches, play areas or wildlife habitats to be protected without physical barriers. The mower automatically navigates between zones using predefined routes while disengaging the cutting blades during transit.
Power is provided by two integrated 25.2V 5Ah STIGA ePower lithium-ion batteries, delivering up to 4 hours and 30 minutes of continuous mowing per charge. When charging is required, the mower automatically returns to its charging station via the shortest available route before recharging in approximately 150 minutes. It then resumes mowing exactly where it stopped, ensuring complete and efficient coverage of the lawn.
The cutting system features a 26cm cutting width with six pivoting high-carbon steel blades, providing a clean and precise cut while maintaining excellent durability. Electronic cutting height adjustment allows heights between 20mm and 65mm to be selected directly through the app, while Smart Cutting Height Adjustment automatically optimises the mowing height to suit lawn conditions. Fine mulching clippings are evenly returned to the turf, naturally feeding the lawn, improving moisture retention and reducing the need for artificial fertilisers.
Built to tackle demanding terrain, the STIGA A 5000 comfortably handles slopes of up to 50% (27°). Integrated lift, tilt, rain and obstacle sensors ensure safe operation by automatically stopping the blades or adjusting the mowing programme when required. Security features including App Lock, GPS tracking and theft alerts provide additional peace of mind, while the quiet brushless motors produce a guaranteed sound power level of just 57dB(A) for unobtrusive operation.
Complete control is available through the intuitive STIGA.GO App, allowing you to manage mowing schedules, edit virtual boundaries, prioritise cutting zones, adjust mowing patterns and monitor the mower remotely. The A 5000 includes free lifetime connectivity via 4G and the STIGA Cloud, ensuring reliable communication between the mower, charging station and reference system. It is also compatible with Amazon Alexa, allowing selected functions to be controlled using voice commands.
