Description
The STIHL HTA 50 is a lightweight cordless pole pruner built for pruning and general tree/shrub maintenance in medium to large gardens, especially where you want clean cuts without the noise and fumes of petrol. It’s part of the AK battery system and comes as the tool-only version, so battery and charger are not included.
Fitted with a 25 cm (10″) guide bar, Rollomatic E Mini bar and a 1/4″ P PM3 chain, the HTA 50 is designed for controlled pruning of higher branches while you stay safely on the ground. The robust branch hook helps you pull down small, cut branches from the canopy (for small branches only), which saves you constantly repositioning.
It’s also made to be straightforward to live with: side-mounted chain tensioning makes it quicker to keep the chain correctly set, and the semi-transparent oil tank lets you check chain oil at a glance while you work. The control handle is designed to suit both left and right-handed users, and the detachable shaft makes transport and storage much easier (handy if you’re keeping it in a shed, garage, or van).
On the performance side, it runs at a rated 36 V with a listed power output of 0.60 kW (comparative value). With the recommended AK 20 battery, STIHL quotes up to 45 minutes of working time or around 170 cuts (based on cutting 10×10 timber).
